Tim has been working as an advisor for more than 20 years and has been in the financial services industry since 1995. Above all, he values the high-quality personal relationships that he builds with clients through the planning and investing process.
Tim and his wife, Angela, are both graduates of the University of Portland. They live in Eugene, Oregon where Angela has been teaching at O’Hara Catholic School for 20 years. Tim has spent the last 10 years coaching his daughters, Madeline and Sophie, in soccer and basketball. Over the years, Tim has served on numerous boards and committees for several local nonprofits.
The Mahalaks love traveling as a family and have explored destinations ranging from Yellowstone Park to Stonehenge. Tim enjoys spending time outdoors running, hiking, and playing golf. Living in the Pacific Northwest affords many opportunities to get outside and experience its beauty.
Gayle Sawyer
Financial Planning Assistant
Gayle joined Mahalak Financial Management as a planning assistant in 2008. She brought with her financial industry experience gained as a registered associate at Smith Barney, where she began in 2000. Gayle holds her FINRA Series 7 and 63 securities registrations with Commonwealth Financial Network®. Previously, Gayle was engaged in fund-raising and public relations activities for the College of Science at Oregon State University. Her undergraduate studies at Oregon State University were in health care administration.
In her free time, Gayle enjoys a variety of outdoor pursuits with her husband, Tim, and two children, Helen and Jack.
